Went into my local postoffice as I have done before to print out a returns label. Previously I have emailed the address shown at the cashiers desk and paid £1 for it to be printed.
Never had an issue doing so around three times before at this same branch.
This morning I was trying to email my return label to the post office email address and was told by someone on the desk it has to be a Royal Mail returns label only.
I said I didn’t think that to be the case and were they sure because they had printed things for me before.
Was abruptly told it could only be Royal Mail.
I left and went back in to double check before I complained as even the sign in the front post office cashier said print your return label here send it to this email..
They said I could complain as the other cashier was the manager so in front of everyone in the po I said I had used this service before and it doesn’t state you can only print post office returns labels
Manager was not friendly or helpful or sympathetic just quite rude and unpleasant to me.
Normally the man and dark haired women here are helpful and friendly the manager and lady who didn’t help me today were not at all friendly or helpful
Went to library and for 20p printed out what I needed and it was service with smile from the library staff.
I will make sure I don’t go back to this post office for any service In the future as customer service in a local community is important to me.
I’m not rude or unpleasant and customer facing staff certainly shouldn’t be unhelpful.
